M. PADMANABHAN "PADDY" (EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR)
Prior to joining Baer Capital Partners, Paddy worked with the UTI AMC Pvt. Ltd. for 18 years. During his time at UTI AMC Pvt Ltd , Paddy had been involved in asset management, consulting, corporate branding, client relationship management, corporate communications, and training.

In his last assignment with UTI, Paddy spent 5 years at UTI International Ltd. as the General Manager for the Middle East and North Africa region including Sri Lanka. He worked actively in the region in enhancing the business towards retail and institutional clients across nationalities in UAE, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, and Bahrain. In partnership with Societe Generale, he contributed to structuring innovative products focused on India. He was instrumental in formulating the first Sharia product focused on Indian equity.


CHRISTIAN SIMOND (EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR)
Prior to joining Baer Capital Partners in London, Christian was a Senior Sales Executive at Diapason Commodities Management, a commodity-focused asset management company based in Switzerland. He joined the firm at the beginning of 2005; a short while after the company was founded, and was instrumental in overseeing a rapid growth in assets under management through developing key institutional accounts in Switzerland, the United Kingdom and Asia.

After spending many years in London with various City institutions, notably on the risk arbitrage desk at Bear Stearns and as head of UK equities at Bank Julius Baer, Christian moved to Geneva where he was responsible for developing alternative investments at a privately held asset management company. As portfolio manager for the company’s long / short equity hedge fund, he also contributed to the investment management strategy of the firm.
